A reinterpretation of Monet’s water lilies through a pixelated mosaic. Up close, it’s abstract; from afar, a serene pond emerges—blending digital fragmentation with impressionist beauty and a nod to pointillism in a meditation on memory and perception. Over 5,000 hand-painted squares build the surface, each acting like a contemporary brushmark. The work echoes the broken color and atmospheric light of Impressionism while recalling the optical logic of Pointillism, where small units of color merge in the viewer’s eye. As distance allows the image to cohere, the painting reflects on how perception organizes fragments into harmony, much like memory gradually assembling fleeting visual impressions into a unified scene.
